Two birds face one another across the flap, worked stitch by stitch in the Kashidakari tradition: deep green bodies outlined in gold, wings filled with turquoise and rose, long coral legs. Beneath them, cherry-brown leather deepens and softens with every year of carrying.

How your bag is made
The hides are tanned with babul bark, then worked and laid out to cure by hand. It is the slow way, and the reason the leather softens with age instead of cracking.
